Toddler Room
The toddler room is dedicated to children aged 2-3 years old. Our toddler room encourages development through fun activities, play and child lead learning within the national framework of Aistear and SÃolta curriculum.
In the toddler room the environment is spacious, bright, warm and welcoming. There are many different areas in the room, these include, tabletop, role play, library quiet area, home corner, climbing area and free play area. These areas are designed to help children participate for longer periods of time in a fun engaging manner.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is interactive, helping children to develop speech and language skills. The development of children's own personality is paramount in the toddler room as we practice slow relational pedagogy to create agentic global citizens.
Building
The building of confidence and independence is achieved by children being around peers of their own age and size, sharing and caring for each other. In the toddler room development is achieved through, dancing, singing, story time and nursery rhymes.
Development
The children are provided with age-appropriate materials in a child lead environment and have been carefully selected to promote the development of their, social, cognitive and physical skills.
Physical
Their physical skills will be developed through small and large indoor and outdoor equipment. Gross motor movement will be achieved through activities such as climbing, running and jumping in our large outdoor space.
Motor
Fine motor skills are developed through the use of crayons, brushes, construction equipment, pegs, jigsaws and tuff tray, themed activities.
Relationships
In the toddler room we pride ourselves on our relationships with parents and guardians, informing them daily of their child's progress and throughout the year with parent teacher meetings, the little vista app and phone calls.
Activities
The activity loved most in the toddler room is anything messy, these types of activities support the settings ethos on an inclusive environment where children of all abilities can get involved. Our emergent curriculum is beneficial to children's development as they are treated as active participants within the room, their interests being acknowledged creates an environment where toddlers can become fully immersed in their learning while they explore, create and collaborate.
